Quail eggs can benefit your pets health in many ways by improving vision, stimulating growth and healing as well as soothing allergies.
Quail Eggs can help with allergy symptoms?
In the 1970’s, a French doctor noticed that quail farmers suffered significantly less allergy symptoms than other residents. He experimented by giving eggs to his allergy sufferers, with positive results.
Allergist, Dr Bruttmann then conducted studies showing that the protein (specifically the Ovomucoid protein) in quail eggs acts as a natural anti-histamine, helping to ease the symptoms of sneezing, runny nose and itchy watering eyes that affect those suffering from allergies.
Quail eggs also have a high level of vitamin A which helps to protect vision. The antioxidant activity of vitamin A can help reduce macular degeneration as well as the development of cataracts.
Studies have also shown that adding these eggs to the diet can help remove toxins from the bloodstream. Detoxifying the body is important as our pets are exposed to a wide variety of toxins, pollutants and heavy metals in the environment today.
Now, dont expect to add a quail egg to your dogs food today and never have to deal with allergy symptoms ever again. Treating inflammation is often a long term committment.
For best results, we use a variety of natural products together to to help reduce inflammation. Our favorites are Vets Best Season Allergy Support and Naturvet Aller 911 Skin and Coat Plus Allergy Powder Supplement.
Other natural anti-inflammatories include Turmeric (available in the spice aisle at your local supermarket), Fish oil such as Salmon oil or Sardine oil and even Pineapple which contains Bromelain which is also a potent anti-inflammatory.
Lastly, if your dog has an allergy to chicken eggs, there is a possibility that he/she may also be allergic to quail eggs and you should avoid giving your dog quail eggs.
